College of Music Concerts & Preconcert Talks

Each semester, the College of Music generously makes complimentary tickets available to members of UNTRA for selected concerts. Members are notified by email the list of concerts for which complimentary tickets are available. We also regularly enjoy exclusive preconcert talks by the conductors of selected concerts.

UNT Retiree ID Card

Many retiree benefits (such as complimentary parking permits and tickets to Athletics home games) must be claimed by producing a university retiree ID card. These IDs are issued by UNT ID Systems (idcards@unt.edu). Retirees can visit the Student Financial Services office in Eagle Student Services Center Room 105 to have an ID card made while they wait. Retirees should bring the following items with them to have an ID card made.

  • Government-issued ID
  • Your HR Retirement Exit Form
HF Parking Permit

Retirees can acquire a free 'HF' permit to park in F/S and Eagle spaces on campus for a maximum of 5 days per month. Get your permit online or at the Avenue A entrance of the parking building, corner of Highland and Avenue A. UNT Retiree ID card is required.

Retiree Access to UNT Email Account

Updated October 24, 2023

Post-retirement access to UNT Exchange email accounts (usually First.Last@unt.edu) must be approved by a newly retired faculty or staff member's department. Otherwise, new retirees may request an EagleConnect account in the form of FirstLast@my.unt.edu. This option is found within the exit paperwork filed with the UNT Human Resources Department.

Additional Resources:

Auditing Undergraduate Courses
  • The university’s official policy on auditing a course is listed here: http://catalog.unt.edu/content.php?catoid=17&navoid=1739#Auditing.
    • Here is the relevant portion of that policy: “A person 65 years of age or older may enroll as an auditor and observer without credit and without payment of a fee, if space is available and if approved by the department chair and the appropriate dean. Such enrollment entitles the person to library privileges, but not to instruction in applied music or physical education, the use of laboratory equipment and supplies, or admission to university-sponsored fine arts events.”
Senior Citizen Tuition Exemption

The Office of the Registrar (940-565-2111), along with Student Accounting and University Cashiering Services (940-565-3225), are the correct entities to assist you with auditing a class or claiming a tuition exemption.
